US 160 is closed in both directions east of Kayenta.

Following heavy rain in the area, the roadway sustained damage east of Dennehotso near Laguna Wash and was closed for the safety of motorists.

Eastbound is closed at Navajo Route 59 (milepost 402) and westbound is closed at the US 160/US 191 junction (milepost 435).

Motorists should seek an alternative route. Work is underway to make repairs with the goal of restoring travel by early October. This schedule could be affected by weather, but ADOT's goal is to reopen the highway as soon as possible.

PHOENIX – Closures are scheduled along freeways and ramps this weekend (Friday, Sept. 25-Monday, Sept. 28) for improvement projects in the Phoenix area:

• L-101 eastbound (Agua Fria) between 75th and 51st avenues, and the on-ramps at Union Hills Drive and Bell Road.
• L-101 s​​​​​​outhbound (Agua Fria) from Indian School Road to Interstate 10, the ramps to east- and westbound I-10, and the on-ramps closed at Glendale Avenue, Cardinals Way and Camelback Road.
• State Route 51 southbound between Indian School Road, the SR 51 ramps to eastbound and westbound I-10, and the SR 51 ramp to eastbound L-202.
• L-202 westbound (Santan) between Arizona Avenue and Price Road, and the ramps to northbound L-101.
• L-101 northbound (Pima) between L-202 (Red Mountain) and Shea Blvd.
• L-303 eastbound between 43rd Avenue and I-17.
• State Route 347 narrowed to one lane in both directions between Casa Blanca and Riggs Roads.
